Food trucks and mobile street food — preparing and serving food from motorized or non-motorized vehicles, carts, or mobile stalls. This includes food trucks, mobile kitchens, street food carts, and pop-up food stalls that can relocate. If your food operation moves on wheels or is designed to be mobile, this is your code.
What You Need
Micro + Small scale: Medium-Low risk. NIB + Standard Certificate issued automatically. You need a Hygiene Sanitation Label (HSP) and periodic activity reports.
Vehicle registration and street vending permits are separate requirements from the KBLI license.
Fully open — 100% foreign ownership allowed.
This is a completely new code in KBLI 2025 — it didn't exist in 2020 (BPS_ONLY status). The government created it to capture the growing mobile food and street food economy. If you were running a food truck before, you were likely classified under 56102 (food stalls) or general trade codes.

Mobile food offers lower overhead than restaurants and the flexibility to follow crowds. Vehicle permits, parking agreements, and local banjar approvals are the real operational hurdles. Many food trucks partner with beach clubs or events for semi-permanent locations. For PMA investors, the lower scale means smaller investment requirements compared to full restaurants.
