Banks apply different requirements, but a stay permit PUBERET (either temporary or permanent) is required.
Only with ITS or ITAP foreign individuals in Indonesia are allowed to open bank accounts.
Without Kitas you would need a local resident as guarantor. Some banks carefully check about the guarantor.

Indonesian immigration authorities announced that Visa on Arrival is now possible to obtain online before entering Indonesia.
The Directorate General of Immigration has completed the Electronic Visa on Arrival (eVoA) system and is currently testing it, which includes payment through a payment gateway. Foreigners can complete application pre-departure or during transit before entering the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. The implementation of Electronic VoA is carried out gradually by prioritising Visa on Arrival services at Soekarno-Hatta Airport and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Immigration Check Point. For the beginning, the eVoA can be accessed by Foreign Nationals from top 26 countries of VoA users. Foreigners using VoA will be allowed to stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days and can be extended once to get additional 30 days at the Immigration Office. Similar to eVisa, e-VoA can be used no later than 90 days after payment is made.

The standard Visa Extension process (VOA and B211) now will only take 5-7 business days.

Immigration policy is now able to semplify paper works and accelerating stay permit services, as requested by president Joko Widodo.

Foreigner travelers with at least 18 y/doesn't need covid test with 2 doses of vaccine. Kids between 6 and 17 vears old coming fromabroad are exempt from vaccination.
Kids under 6 years old are exempted from vaccination but is mandatory to travel with a vaccinated companion.

How to obtain a PERMANENT Kitas?
Kitap stands for kartu izin tinggal tetap which translates as permanent stay permit.
Unlike any other visa in indonesia, the kitap is valid for five years, and if after five years thereare no changes to the status of the expat, the visa is extended automatically.
You can only apply for a kitap indonesia once you have gone through the process of getting a kitas/itas (limited stay permit) and having extended this visa 4 times (first one plus 4 extensions of the same kind of kitas) or if you're legally married with an indonesian citizen for 2 years.
The only eligible candidates to get a kitap are:
-Foreigners with an indonesian spouse;
-Foreign investors, directors, or commissioners in an indonesian company (pt pma);
-Foreigners wanting to retire in indonesia.

How many Kitas you know and which benefits you could get as a K(ITAS) holder?
Any foreign citizen who wants to stay or work In indonesia for extended amounts of time will need to apply for a ITAS (izin tinggal terbatas).

Government regulation SU 23/22 modifies the ability to travel with an antigen test for adult passengers without a vaccine booster.
Passengers over 18 years of age who have not received the third dose of vaccination must present a pc test valid for 24 hours. unvaccinated children between the ages of 6 and 18 who are not indonesian citizens can get by with a 24-hour antigen test.
The new rules for traveling in indonesia came into effect on august 11. 2022 and applies to travel between regions of indonesia by any mode of transport.

VOA (or visa on arrival) it's a 30 days stay permit;
It can be only purchased at the airport for 500,000 idr (35 usd);
It is not convertible to other kind of visa, or kitas;
At the moment only 75 countries can apply for voa (we don't know when others will be included);
If you want to extend your voa for further 30 days you should start 10 days it will expire (look at the stamp in your passport).

You should regularly check your passport to ensure that you have sufficient validity and pages remaining. As many countries do, Indonesia requires at least six months validity remaining on passports for visitors entering the Country:
• for visa on arrival: at least 6 months of validity
• business visa: more than 12 months (under 6 months you can't even apply for the extension or new visa onshore)
• kitas 1 year: at least 18 months
• kitas 2 years: at least 30 months check with your embassy and renew your passport by counting months for your stay and/or work permit.

During a press conference with Indonesian President Joko Widodo in Kyiv, Zelensky announced that Ukraine and Indonesia had agreed to introduce visa-free travel between the two countries.
This is reported by the Ministry of foreign affairs of Ukraine:
-For a period up to 30 days during each visit of citizens of Ukraine to Indonesia;
-Up to 30 days within 60 days for Indonesian citizens arriving in Ukraine.
At the same time the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that citizens of Ukraine have been able to enter Indonesia without a visa since 2016 - according to a unilateral decision of the Indonesian side.

There’s a Visa for Bali for every reason.
Bali was, is and will be one of the best destinations in the world.
Starting from 22th March 2022, passengers from 72 nationalities can obtain a Visa On Arrival (VOA) to reach Bali, which is valid for 30 days and can be extended once.
After 60 days, the travellers must leave the Country. It can’t be extended or transformed into B211A or Kitas (long term permit) but you can apply for a Business Visa B211A before come. B211A allows you to stay up to 180 days and has two purpose: Business Talk and Tourism Purpose.
It’s a single entry visa (once you fly out it will expire) but you can extend it 2 times (60 days each one).
Once the B211a is issued, you have 90 days to use it to enter in Indonesia.

The Bali Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regional Office noted that at least more than 4,000 foreign nationals (WNA) have used the visa on arrival (VoA) service to enter Indonesian territory on the Island of the Gods since March 7, 2022.
Meanwhile, the top five countries that use VoA when they come to Bali are Australia 1,016 people, Singapore 500 people, America 444 people, France 362 people, England 354 people.

Have you checked out when your passport expires? Whit a passport with less than 6 months of validity could be a problem even make a simple extension of your social visa.
To approve the extension, Immigration requires a letter from the consulate certifying that passport in in process. But be carefull, you will need asap the new passport to be able to be extended! Otherwise you risk to leave the country to avoid the overstay.

What do you know about Siwaratri day?
The Siwa Ratri is a night of meditation aimed at cleansing the impurities accumulated during the year. People who participate don't sleep during the whole night. They pray, meditate and discuss holy texts in the temple of the dead (Pura Dalem) or the temple of origin (Pura Puseh).

Those demoniac statues are built for the Ngrupuk, which takes place on the eve of Nyepi day in Bali, Indonesia.
Ogoh-ogoh normally take the form of mythological beings, mostly demons. As with many creative endeavours based on Balinese Hinduism, the creation of Ogoh-ogoh represents spiritual aims inspired by Hindu philosophy.
The purpose of the ogoh-ogoh statues are to clear and purify the streets of evil and negative forces; said to accumulate at main crossroads of villages.
This was done in a folk-based ritual called Ngerupuk (a kind of exorcism), which previously only involved noise and torches.
Don’t miss next Ogho Ogho event the night before next Nyepi, the Balinese new year (22nd of March 2023).

The barong and keris dances are traditional Balinese dances that depict the battle between Barong as a good character and Rangda as an evil character, which is often shown to tourists as one of the cultural attractions that always amazes us.
As for the location of the barong dance performances, most of them are located in Batubulan Village, Gianyar Bali. It is very easy to find because it is located on the main road to Ubud village.
One of the famous and popular barong and keris performances is Sahadewa Barong & Kecak Fire Dance which is located on Jl. Puseh Temple, Batubulan, Kec. Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, Bali 80582. You can use google map to get to this place, if from Kuta it will take about 60 minutes drive and if from Ubud about 30 minutes drive.
