Aerial photography — capturing images from elevated positions using drones, helicopters, aircraft, or other airborne platforms. This is specifically for photography services, not surveying or mapping (which have their own codes). Commercial aerial photography for marketing, tourism promotion, real estate listings, construction progress documentation, and event coverage.

Important
Drone operations require separate permits from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) under Kemenhub (Ministry of Transport). Your KBLI license alone does not authorize you to fly drones — you need a Remote Pilot License and must register your drone with SIPONGI (Sistem Pendaftaran Pesawat Udara Tanpa Awak).
Direct match from KBLI 2020 (MATCH_LANGSUNG). Aerial photography has had its own code since 2020 — the 2025 update didn't change it. The technology has shifted dramatically (from helicopters to drones) but the classification remains the same.

The market is split: budget operators (IDR 3-5M per shoot) serving real estate agents, and premium operators (IDR 15-50M+) doing cinematic tourism campaigns for hotels and government tourism boards. Key regulatory note: Bali has drone-restricted zones around Ngurah Rai Airport (significant radius), military installations, and certain temple complexes. Flying without proper permits near the airport can result in criminal charges. The sweet spots for drone work are Uluwatu cliffs, Nusa Penida coastlines, and the rice terraces of Jatiluwih/Tegallalang.
